Panalpina today released its 2014 Corporate Sustainability Report, showcasing the progress it has made in its sustainability performance and programs. The company reduced its paper and water usage, energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions.The report was prepared in accordance with the latest standards of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI).

Following last year’s UN Climate Talks in Paris and as part of a global effort to mitigate climate change, Panalpina has delivered on its promise and set science-based emissions targets for the coming years. Panalpina is now one of 32 international companies to have such targets that have been approved by the Science Based Targets initiative.

During 2015, Panalpina continued its commitment to reducing its environmental impact, with a focus on greenhouse gas emissions. At the UN Climate Talks in Paris held in December 2015, it was announced that Panalpina was one of over 100 international companies and the only logistics company so far to commit to set reduction targets as part of the Science Based Targets Initiative.

Panalpina has received its highest Carbon Disclosure Project supply chain program score to date, reaching a score of 94 points out of 100. Furthermore, during the UN Climate Talks in Paris earlier this month, it was announced that Panalpina is one of 114 international companies that have committed to set science-based emissions targets as part of a global effort to mitigate climate change.

In a hat trick of sustainability-focused achievements, Panalpina has become globally certified to the highest environmental management standard,reached a gold rating for its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts and won an award for business excellence in Europe.

Um dem Klimawandel auf globaler Ebene entgegenzuwirken, hat Panalpina sein Versprechen von der Pariser UN-Klimakonferenz 2015 erfüllt und sich für die kommenden Jahre Emissionsziele gesteckt, die auf wissenschaftlichen Erkenntnissen basieren. Panalpina gehört nun zu den bisher 32 internationalen Unternehmen, die solche „Science Based Targets“ extern bestätigen liessen und eingeführt haben.
