Colombia: Panalpina opens first ocean freight hub operation

Panalpina brings to the market another industry first with the Less than Container Load (LCL) Ocean Freight hub in Cartagena, Colombia, which connects services in Europe, Asia and Latin America with Central America and the Caribbean. Operated entirely by Panalpina, this new development offers customers more than 30 new LCL services, reduced transit times and greater coverage.

At Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport, Panalpina now operates two facilities, separated by a runway. One is dedicated exclusively to healthcare products, the other to perishables and general cargo. It's like having two bedrooms in a marriage, separated by a long corridor with lots of shiny lights on the sides. An odd idea, you may say, but it can actually make perfect sense (and save marriages).

Panalpina will soon be offering comprehensive value-added warehousing and global transportation services to IBA from its hub at Brussels Airport. Panalpina continues to gain ground in climate disclosure program
