On May 14 Panalpina held the opening ceremony for its new 21,000 m2, 28-bay warehouse in Prague, Czechia. Two-thirds of the warehouse capacity is dedicated to MAHLE, a leading international development partner and supplier to the automotive industry as well as a pioneer for the mobility of the future, headquartered in Germany.

Ballett Zürich was invited to perform Anna Karenina as a high profile guest at the 46th Hong Kong Arts Festival (HKAF), which took place from February 23 to March 24, 2018. Panalpina Energy and Project Solutions executed another #MajorMove with two port-to-door shipments for one of Brazil’s leading ceramics makers. The move included ocean and overland transportation of an industrial mill and a hydraulic press from Genoa, Italy, to Paranaguá, one of the main gateways in southern Brazil, as well as the installation of both machines in Tijucas, Santa Catarina.

Panalpina is to acquire the Belgian companies Adelantex and AD Handling, specialized in the handling of perishables imports in Brussels, Liège and Ostend. With the air freight peak season picking up, the skies are getting busier by the hour. Panalpina is expanding its Perishables Network into Germany. Panalpina has entered into an agreement with the Cool Chain Group, Germany (CCG), taking over business and a team that is specialized in international air freight and the import of perishables. The deal will further strengthen the Panalpina Perishables Network in Europe and the company’s global end-to-end offering for fresh produce.
